Andy Warhol

 The works of Andy Warhol have become firmly established in the collective subconscious – mainly because they showed people what they already knew. Warhol (1928 - 1987), the true master of Pop Art, used popular culture as the source for his provocative works. For some people this confirmed New Yorker was the “court painter of the 70s”, for others he was a provocative genius who turned the triteness of our world into an art event.
